Training, qualifications and employment have a positive affect on people’s lives - and those of their families – but are still not accessible to many people.
Open Door is a one-stop-shop service, offering information, advice and support to both those in work and out of work to ensure individuals can quickly access a range of advisory services to get the help they need to get back into training or work in the West Midlands.

For the first time, Open Door brings together the range of services which can help solve these issues, giving people the support they need to succeed.
Open Door is available to anyone in the Black County, Birmingham and Coventry areas.

Our Employment Development Officers will work out an individual plan for our clients, based on their personal needs and ambitions.
We then direct people to those services that really can help like confidence building, work-based training, further education and employment advice services.
Open Door will continue to mentor people through the programme, building positive relationships, and helping them stay on track to ensure they overcome all obstacles.
With our help, people can:

  • increase their chances of getting a job
  • improve basic skills such as reading, writing and numbers
  • advance their career and earn more money
